Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick was honored with a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The show ended on August 13, 2012, following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and says she attends Passover seders.
